New coach-lost traction in recruiting Topic

When you take over a new school how much ground do you lose on the recruits that were recruited by the old coach?

You lose all value on all the visits, but importantly now they've fixed the feature where you are unable to do your own.

You lose something in the vicinity of 66-75% of the value of AP. I don't recall exactly what it is, or if it was ever disclosed, but I think it's in that ballpark. You'll need to make your own promises, of course.

Thanks. When you take over a new school what recruiting budget do you get?

You get the full budget. $5k plus $3k per opening.

I just took over a team and one recruit had 380 AP from the previous coach.
The scholarship had been unlocked, but only at 95% on the Home Visit.
My guess is I had credit for around 110-120 of the 380 AP. Or about 30% of the previous coach's effort.

Depends on division*

Scouting:
Division 1: 35K + 4K per Opening
Division 2: 25K + 3K per Opening
Division 3: 15K + 2K per Opening

Recruiting:
Division 1: 5K + 3K per Opening
Division 2: 3K + 2K per Opening
Division 3: 1K + 1K per Opening

I’ve done a few rebuilds at D2-D3. Just took over Palm Beach Atlantic in Phelan. All the recruits that had scholarships unlocked (as per previous coach Notes) and not offered were back under 50%. All those with offered scholarships had nothing else unlocked (visits/promises). That is different than I’ve ever seen before. Could just be that the previous coach was minimalistic in using AP, but it is a piece of anecdotal evidence to add to the discussion.
