SR. Gilbert Mair

Has pretty much had 20 minutes Conditioning practice time from his freshman year to current.

His stamina has never changed in season

His stamina has regressed every offseason.

FR- 73 (red)
SO- 69 (yellow)
JR- 67 (yellow)
SR- 64 (black)

Anybody experience a similar issue?
Is this a glitch?
Should I send a ticket?

It’s a known issue when the player’s stamina starts in the red. It’s been talked about before on the forums and Gil has gone into lengthy detail about why it happens, but it’s always baffled me that’s it’s a known thing and hasn’t ever been corrected.

If you recruit a player with red stamina it will regress over their career regardless how many minutes you put into conditioning.

its a bug the original coder and subsequent people are unabel to fix because no one cares about this game and its only being held alive to milk money from the ****** coaches who still cant figure out how to play this game until all the good coaches get bored and leave and the game finally no longer makes free money

i don't know i'd frame it as such. stamina declines intentionally in the off season, the idea being lazy college students may spend too much time on the couch without coaching riding their *****.

there WAS a glitch where after stamina dropped, lets say from 91 red on a 92 cap, to 87 yellow, the improvement rate was capped at where it was at 91. the rate of improvement didn't reset with the drop. then when the guy dropped to 83 black, it was still improving at the rate of the 91 red would - effectively zero. this was supposedly fixed, but, maybe it wasn't. there was definitely an attempt to fix it that had some impact, but i think folks also posted examples where it looked still broken.

the main part people don't like though, the offseason declines, is intentional behavior by the original creator which subsequent game admins have declined to adjust. i am not a big fan of the stamina drop, its super annoying, but i see the value in it. high stamina is basically broken, its so powerful, and adjusting stamina offseason declines by itself would have unintended effects, making elite players even more elite, and making press more powerful. making press more powerful in particular was considered dangerous by seble. i'm not saying i agree, but i do think its more of a situation where coaches dislike an intentional design decision which game admins declined to adjust, more so than a bug they are too lazy to fix.

IMO they should take this out and drop stamina gen across the board by about 2 points to compensate, and call it a day, but i am not holding my breath.

no the red freshmen stamina is an actual bug they are unable to fix because the code is "too entagled" with everything else. completely unrelated to the offseason stamina drops.

the OP sure makes it look like the glitch about not being able to gain points, was not corrected. or maybe they corrected it and then reverted it. shortly after seble 'fixed' it, there were numerous examples i could find on my own teams and conferences where stamina was finally growing in the regular season, after the declines. but the OP is a clear case of the problem still being there. ticket is probably in order. maybe they'll fix that part where it won't grow, and its a new admin now, may be worth making them aware of the stamina offseason decline thing.

oh yeah you are right i thought you were talking about the stamina drop part... the red stamina guys never growing definitely is not intentional.

have they come out and said they can't fix the stamina not growing part? i guess i don't remember that, i remember they thought they fixed it and then it didn't really pan out that way. although it sure seemed like it made a different at first.

yea i can't remember if it was seble or adlorenz that said the bug in the code is too entangled with so many other things and basically requires massive rewrites for so many other things for some reason so its not fixable with the current level of attention HD gets
