How many of the 26 regular season games do you have to start a guy to honor the promised start? I was thinking it was all but 4 games (22 games) but I don't want to dig through all of the posts out here to figure it out.

I got 3 games left in regular season and this guy is killing me. I need to sit him.

Player needs to start 21 out of a possible 26 regular season games to hit his promised starts.

the above information is incomplete - or outdated - depending on how you look at it. you can lose players following the above advice.

when it comes to starts, the new rule is - you need to stay above 80% through the entire regular season. it is no longer good enough simply to end above 80%.

therefore, if you are evaluating end of regular season - then yes, 21/26 is enough. but if you are evaluating 9 games in, you need to have started at least 8.

hackerhog - i think the forums are just not that busy, hence the lack of a reply. you aren't the only one who knows though, and its not really a secret, i've personally seen it discussed at least 100 times.

I think above is correct - at least it is what folks have reported

cant say that I have pushed it to the edge with experiments, but it is good guidance

Gillispie is exactly right. I know from experience. I lost a 5 Star player after his freshman season because he sat out three big non-conf games, played the rest of the regular season and transferred.

related question, this part isn't well known, sort of gillispie knowlege... how many 5* eligible freshman could you reliably promise starts to, and meet those promises? most folks will think its 5, but its 6... how?

how many can you sign if you want to still have a good season - where you need to start 1 non-freshman (usually a per scorer, usually pg) every game so you can still pull a 3 seed or something? most folks will think 4, but its 5. (a lot of folks struggle to juggle 4 and it takes doing but frankly its pretty doable).
