Losing recruiting battles to SIM Topic

I can imagine losing to a roll to a SIM is incredibly frustrating, as you said, they don't even enjoy the game or spend money. That could be a future piece of your team.

This is a weird subject too, because devil's advocate, I don't want to play in a game where the SIMs are even more pathetically bad at the game then they already are. At season's end, they receive all of the players nobody else wanted.

I know you didn't come here asking for advice but just maybe this will help as I haven't rolled against a sim maybe since I started back in 2019.
1. SIMs can't offer promises, rarely offer a respectable amount of AP, and limited HV/CV (if any). You *should* be able to stomp them out pretty easily outside of maybe D3 where money is tight.
2. When a SIM reached very low, it will stop pursuing 99% of the time (I'd say 100% but I'm pretty sure someone mentioned it's happened once so I'll go 99%). So jump on your SIM battles early and just knock them to VL, then you can re-allocate those resources to human battles.
3. When you are the 81% favorite at the time the recruit decides to sign, he will automatically sign with you.

Using those 3 points, if you had early thrown down some promises and knocked down the SIMs to VL, then you could've re-allocated to the two human battles and had better chances of winning.

Is it crap luck you lost all 4? For sure. My story doesn't interest you but I once lost 24/27 rolls with 22 as the favorite (and most of the time, overwhelming favorite). So I get it more than many.

For me, the coin flips in general are frustrating. With my UNC Greensboro team, I have lost coin flips where I was a significant favorite (like 60% or higher) for the last three seasons in a row, and it has decimated my roster. I know about the law of large numbers, but it can still be a killer in the short term because when you lose the coin flips it can be too late to get anyone decent at that point.

Just now seeing this but I agree, a human should never lose to a sim in a recruiting battle. I get it, "git gud" and all of that but sometimes you lose other battles and have very little resources left to completely knock a sim out of the picture.
