How long do over-used pitchers stay at 0 % rest? Topic

Greetings,

Took over as replacement owner for a team with pitchers way over-used. It's been 27 games, 2 off days, and the all-star break, but some of the ML pitchers still show 0& rest. They haven't been used during that time. How long will they typically stay at 0%?

I don’t know for sure but I believe it’s based on past usage. Let’s say your pitcher can normally go 100 pitches every 5 days. We’ll call it 20 pitches a day. He’s thrown 1000 pitches, it would take 50 days to get him to 100%. This is based purely on observation from my past teams, I could be completely wrong and welcome anyone who has more accurate information. Either way, if it’s gross over abuse, it doesn’t happen within days. However, I have been in other leagues where I believe if a new owner submits a ticket, WIS will restore pitchers to 100% if due to neglect by a previous owner. That might be your best route.

the pitch count thing is interesting...I'll do some math and try to figure it out...thanks.

So, one guy pitched in 52 of the first 81 games. Stamina 33, he threw low-20s pitch count in most of the games so wasn't really overworked per game. 42 Durability, so what would you expect, perhaps appear in every 3rd game without wearing down? If so, 81 games, divided by 3 is 27. Means he appeared in 25 games too many. At every 3rd game, this would be sitting out 75 games, so back to full strength around game 81+75= 156. We're at game 95 so seems like a lot more to still sit out, if this logic is sound.

If you're replacing an owner that disappeared, you can send in a ticket to explain the situation to Admin. They can help with the fatigue recovery but his stats will still be messed up.

I took over a replacement tm a few seasons ago about 30 gms in. The guy had a legit big league all star reliever in AAA starting every other gm. He was so far below 0% that he didn't recover any stamina until playoffs for bigs

Whenever taking over an abandoned franchise, always request to have the energy of the pitching staffs to be reset. As commissioner, I will make the request if I have to submit a ticket to replace the owner. Otherwise, I tell the new owner to do it.
