If it's 24 teams, wouldn't it make more sense to have 6 divisions and 2 wild cards? This way, the Division Series would be like the WBC quarterfinals.

Correct, if its 24 teams it'll use the standard format of 6 divisions of 4 teams each, with each division winner plus a wildcard making the playoffs

Wait, since that's the case, I won't put in a Dominican team due to 3 already existing.
24 teams split into 6 vs 4 could mean all Americans in one division, all Dominicans & Venezuelans in another, with both hopefully in the same conference.

I have 0 MLB sim experience, including the Hardball Dynasties, so I'd appreciate being put with the medium quality teams, not the upper echelon ones.

That would be 4 divisions. 6 divisions of 4 each would be the goal if we are going with 24.

I think I am going to start it with 20 teams. I kind of agree BillyMartin, we don't really need more and there aren't many options left asides from the DR, Venezuela and the US, which we already have multiple teams from each

I am going to phrase this extremely politely:

Well, I'm now no longer going to be polite (though this will be my last post in this thread even if there are further replies that I take issue with):

1 - I wasn't cheating
2 - nor did I f*ck it up
3 - I put in my Canada team and got ML AAA players
4 - but when I later put in a DR team and found out that our commish changed the settings to allow pro players INSTEAD
5 - so I reread page 1's forum rules and redid my Canada team accordingly
6 - I never played WIS baseball of any sims before this, and haven't been on WIS for anything for over a decade till end of last month

...the problem instead is with the commish, whether he unintentionally or not messed up with his terminology with the rules.
I'd lean towards him merely misunderstanding.
***Plus I'd add that a bunch of Team USA owners are indirectly cheating by wanting to not be in the same division as each other so their chances of sim success increase.
EDIT: due to the disingenuousness of the vocal ones I blocked this commish and Billy Martin. Adios.

1- you were the only one who did not abide by the rules, so the other 19 owners understood the rules completely
3- 1924 Rogers Hornsby and 1901 Nap Lajoie are not ML AAA players, and I think anyone on this platform knows that. Let alone that they aren't even Canadian
4- Your DR team had Justin Verlander and Mike Trout on it. A quick google search could tell you they aren't from the DR
5- the settings were never changed, other than to allow auto-generated or country-born AAA players if your team could not reach 1400 IPs or 5200 ABs

Again, everyone else followed the rules. This is not an issue and I appreciate our collection of good owners who caught it. I also apologize that I did not

For anyone joining the league, the rules are pretty simple/ self-explanatory and we have a list of great owners in this league. Team Canada is open, or you can choose a different team

I can pretty quickly create a Team Canada to get the league started tomorrow morning? This is only if no one has a problem with me having 3 teams.
