The Mixer

16 Team Format
Seasons: All
Multi-Season League

All the players in the WIS database to start.
25 round draft. Random order for round 1 then serpentine.
Every season of every player is available. Yes to Clones. (Want 5 Babe Ruths? Go for it).

We play Season 1.

We will reward those that win. The 4 teams with the best records make the playoffs.
We have all been in leagues where 2nd or even 3rd place teams have better records than 1st place teams. Here, the best 4 make the playoffs.

Starting with Season 2 and every Season thereafter:
1. The 25 players from the World Series Winner will be Blacklisted.
2. The 25 Players from the World Series Loser will stay on that roster. That Owner will Keep that roster to try to win it all next season.
3. The 350 players from the other 14 teams will all be thrown into The Mixer.
4. 23 Players will then be randomly assigned to each of the 15 rosters, and everyone minus the World Series Loser, will be randomly assigned to a roster. There will be 5 players leftover that will go back into the WIS database.
5. At this point the team you get will be a mess. You'll straighten it out, however you want, by trading and/or drafting.

Trades will be open for 72 hours, (3 Days). No trading outside the 72 hour window.
You'll then post your Keepers and the draft gets sheduled. No limit to Cuts or Keepers. (Don't like the 23 players you got from the Mixer? Cut 'em all and draft new ones).
Cuts go back into the WIS database and are available for drafting again.
In the draft, everyone will get enough picks to refill their roster to 25 players. Draft order will be random for round 1 then serpentine.
We will use deadlines in this League. Please, only join if you can be on time and are on the site on a regular basis.
New Owners coming into the League get a random roster of 23 players just like everyone else.

I did a quick look/draft using players that could be taken if you draft in the middle of each round. So in theory, you aren't getting the best picks per round but you're also not getting the worst picks per round either. This is a sample roster with 10 hitters, 4 Starters, and 7 Starters/Relievers. If you add 5 bench players, who would likely be in the upper range of Salaries also, everyone will be pushing up against the $255 Max Cap allowed in WIS with just an average roster unless you draft some low Cap players for your bench.

Even after Season 1 and you get a mix of 23 players, your roster is going to be full of big name players with big salaries. Some teams may have to Cut players just to stay under the $255 Cap that WIS allows.
