General Rules:

The Commissioner Reserves the Right to Settle All Disputes and to Rule on any Situation not Explicitly Covered in these Rules !!!
Teams #1: 20 Team League to Start - But we will Try to Start with a 24 Team League. If Possible.

Team Name: Can be anything you want, But No Profanaty. We suggest City Picked, followed by your choice of Team Name.

Drafting : If you make a Pick during the Draft. It may be changed if the owner after your pick has not picked. Once the owner who Picked after you has picked. Then you are Locked into that Pick.
AAA: 6/6 You will Draft 5 AAA Players for your Total Roster of 30 Players. (Your Choice). All other AAA Players will be Below Average fillers. They are NOT Allowed to be used, Unless the Commish tells the League they can use them. That would only be because of not having enough Pitching Innings or At Bats for the Season for Teams. This might happen during League Expansion. AAA Generated Players are mainly for Trade Fillers. Example : Trading a Player for a Draft Pick. We would use the AAA Generated player only if needed to field your 30 man rosters.
DH: YES, STARTING In The 1950/1973 Season. This will be in BOTH LEAGUES. NO EXCEPTIONS

Keepers list: The Commissioner will set up a Keeper Thread in the Private Forum, No later than the 120th game each season. Each owner is Responsible for keeping track of their Players and making sure each year's Keeper List is Correct and each Player is High Lighted Brown. Everyone has until the End of Round #1 to reclaim there Player. After Round #1 is Completed anyone on the Avaibles List is fair Grounds to be Drafted.

All Keeper lists are Due by the 135th Game - NO EXCEPTIONS. Failure to do so could result in your Losing your Team. Any Owner that has NOT Posted there Keepers List by Game 135 will be Considered to have Abandoned his Team for the Upcoming Season. Their Team will then be Posted in the Public Progressive League Forum and we will Look for a New Owner for that Team. Unless arrangements have been made with the Commissioner.
Each owner may Keep up to 30 Players from there 30 man Roster, Each Year for upcoming Drafts.Any Released players will go back into the Pool of Players for the Next Draft. This keeps enough players and Rookies each year to Improve the Bad Teams.Each owner is Responsible for keeping track of their IR players and making sure each year's Keeper List is Correct. Failure to list a player as a Keeper means that player will be Added to the Available Draft list, and you Risk losing that player. All Keepers lists are FINAL once the 1st Round of the Current Draft is Compeleted. Any subsequent Roster corrections must be posted in the League forum AND any and all Changes sightmailed to the Commissoner. The Commissioner will let any Owner correct any Mistakes that are caught by the Commissioner before the Draft Starts. But the Commissioner is Human, so Mistakes can Happen. Every Owner must Check for Roster Mistakes. But after the 1st Round is Completed. Rosters are FINAL - NO Exceptions.

IR LIST: If a player doesn't have a WIS eligible season, he can move forward to his NEXT available season, given that he does not surpass the current season. For Example, we finish the1950/1973 Season of play and PLAYER A" finished his 1948 season but has no 1947 or 1948 season. PLAYER A can skip 1947 and 1948 to be used in 1949 Advancing 3 yrs of Play. At the same time, PLAYER "B" Finished his 1950 season and has no 1950 season available. PLAYER "B" Must be placed on IR until the 1950 Season Finishes, and his 1951 season can then be used. No Player May Jump Past the Current Season of Play. There is no limit to how many players you can have on IR.

The DRAFT is Very Deep and some Great Players to be Drafted...

He wished me to tell all of the commisioners to put his teams up for adoption. If he recovers, it's going to be a long process.
He is so sorry for the inconvenience to you all. Will let you know how this turns out.

I am a little confused. Why are there players from the 1983 season?

Also, I don't get the current season IR rules? Could you explain that?

First you have to Remember this is a Progressive League. All Players advance 1yr of Play each Year.

In our Original Draft 1949 and 1969 Seasons. Every Player was was sent back to their Rookie Season. That meant Willie Mays who was on the 1969 Data Base started His Career in 1951... If they were in the 1949 Data Base and you Drafted Ted Williams. He started his Career in 1939... Most of the Original Drafted Players has now Retired. So, that's you have a Player or Two with Different Yrs of Play.

Only Player from 1966 and 1989 will be Drafted as Rookies now...

Because there was Only 21 Years Difference in the 2 different Draft Data Bases... So, There would have CLONES in the League... Because as they Disappear from the 1969 Data base... They would reappear to be Drafted again from the Original 1949 data base again...

The IR was meant to keep Track of the 1948 Data Base... when 1949 player came into Play. An IR player that didn't have a 1949 season. But did have a 1950 season couldn't advance Past the current year of 1949... Thus went on the IR List. If you had Ted Williams, who Missed 1943-45 Seasons Because of WW2... He could advance to his 1946 Season. Why? Because it wasn't Past the Current Year of Play being 1949...

Most of those Rules now really don't apply because we are in Year 1966 and 1989... Two Different List of Years of Players...

It's really not that Complicated to understand now...
