League Rules
- League format will be Alt Format D
- Alignment will be based on the 12 ballparks chosen to match real life alignment as close as possible

- 10 vetoes required to block a trade

- Players who drop out of the database for one or more seasons may be placed on IR until such time that they return
Free Agency
- After the initial draft is completed, each team will award contract lengths to their 25 players
- All contract lengths must be between 1-5 years long (new change from original rule)
- Combined contract length for each team will be 75 total years (75 contract points)
- After each season is completed, each player contract will reduce by one year until the player becomes a free agent and returns to the draft pool in the next draft—thus giving each team 25 contract years to award to their new players after the offseason draft is complete
- Owners may allocate fewer than 75 total contract years to their team if they so choose
- Contract lengths cannot be changed, even if the player is traded to a new team (also applies if a new owner takes over a team)
- IR seasons count as a contract year
- Trades in the middle of the season don’t have to comply with the 75 contract years max—teams will just have to ensure that they are at or below the threshold going into the next season

- Average run differential in games among the applicable teams
- Random draw
- A first round lottery draw will be available for the four worst teams plus any ties
- The lottery will be equally weighted among all the qualifying teams
Other Rules
Once a team drafts a ballpark, that effectively determines their franchise going forward. When their franchise changed ballparks in real life, the owner of that team is expected to change their ballpark as well. Teams may not change franchises once they have chosen their initial ballpark. The only exception to this rule is a new owner. A new owner may change their franchise provided they do so prior to their first season in the league.
New rules or rule changes may be proposed by any owner in the league. Adoption of a new rule or rule change will require a 2/3 majority vote (8 out of 12 owners). Any changes to the rules must be voted on and approved prior to the start of the offseason draft in order to be effective in the upcoming season. Otherwise, the new rule will become effective after the next season is complete.
