On one of my teams I was using my Punter to be my Kicker. This last recruiting cycle I didn't fill one scholarship so the game engine gave me a Kicker. My Punter is a much better kicker so I want him to continue to be my Kicker but in the depth chart it doesn't look there is a way I could do this. Has anybody come across this before? I know I am not the only one that uses their Punter to do both. The only thing I can think of is to give the sim Kicker a redshirt then cut him next offseason but that seems like a waste of a valuable redshirt. Any ideas?

I had the same thing happen a few seasons ago in Div 2....kicker was a walk on and he turned out to be really good.....I dont think you can red shirt if you only have one at the position so I believe you have to use him...I never draft a kicker

The game won't let me redshirt him because it would leave the position of K without a player.

I also tried to have him change position to be a Punter and then bury him on the depth chart and the game wouldn't let me do that either.

You don't have any choice...that is the problem with deciding to NOT recruit some positions....if you EVER get a sim recruit....it might mess your plan up bad.

Only if it is a K or a P. Any other position you can bury him on the depth chart for a season and rescind his scholarship the next season.
