I played WIS GD about 15 years ago. I'm not sure how much I remember anyway, but I am curious how much has changed in 15 years(not seasons). Have there been a lot of updates? I took over a low-ranked D3 team in Bryant (212 by some rankings I found) and am surprised at how bad my vision is. In a 360 radius, I only see players that are 25/25/25, depending on position and stat. How quickly will my vision improve? I may have picked a bad school close to the Mexican border so that may cut down my 360 radius. Are there any other big changes I should know about?

There probably are some changes but i dont remember exactly where the game was at 15 years ago. D3 is probably the toughest division imo. I cant really ever tell who is definitely good and who is definitely bad. Your vision will improve if you win. It looks at your last 2 seasons. So even if your team won 0 games last year, if you win 7 or 8 it will improve a good bit next time. If you do that again it will improve slightly more. If you average 12 wins that seems to be the next tier, and you can see almost everything. I think 14 win average is where you see everything now. It used to be 16 but i swear they bumped it all down.

I took on a D3 rebuild in Texas a few seasons ago. I was also shocked at how bad my vision was. But, as your vision grows, you will "see" many more recruits ... and, even better, you will see more "undecided" recruits, which will help your budget stretch further.Schedule bad SIM teams for a while, just to get your win total up and improve your vision.

At D3 nothing more important than potential and WE. You want H and VH guys with a minimum of 45 WE. Only if a player has very high WE would I sign if he's only A potential. These players don't always look that great as FR but by the time they are a JR they will make you as competitive as most teams in D3. Sign the right guys and watch your team grow and you will see the vision grow eventually.
