I contacted WIS and Jordan said Robert's unavailable for a bit going forward but "I would think he ok that you share his response with the GD community."

"investing in new improvements like the SimLeague Baseball mobile app."
Here's a thought....make the SIM Baseball clients foot the bill for updating THEIR game. Why should we "suffer" when the last time GD saw a true improvement/update was back when Noah was cutting logs?!?!?! I'm sure the vast majory of GD players would be ok with such a change if GD were being updated.

Mike,
I get where you’re coming from.
The SimLeague Baseball mobile app isn’t really pulling resources away from the dynasty games. It’s being built separately and the idea is that if we can grow the overall WhatIfSports audience, it ultimately helps support improvements across the whole site.
That said, I completely agree with you on Gridiron Dynasty. Of all the dynasty games, it’s the one that’s gone the longest without meaningful updates and that’s something I’m very aware of.
Right now we’re basically working through a platform with 7 different games and 20-year-old code, so a lot of the work is digging in and figuring out how to safely make changes. It’s not glamorous, but it’s the groundwork that has to happen first.
The good news is we’re reinvesting every dollar we can back into development, and the plan absolutely is to improve the dynasty games, including GD. It will happen. It’s just going to take a little time as we work through the foundation.
I appreciate you speaking up about it.

Thanks for the prompt reply but I hope you realize " we’re reinvesting every dollar we can back into development, and the plan absolutely is to improve the dynasty games, including GD. It will happen. It’s just going to take a little time as we work through the foundation." is what GD has been hearing for going on 15 years. Real life years. Sure, there have been token updates, some of which I helped with, ie showing the player potential - the potential colorization was my recommendation that was incorporated into the game. But, again, the GD community has heard this song and dance so long they know the words by heart.
I would think your "plan" would ring a bit more true with a live, face to face discussion about what's been going on behind the scenes, what's been receiving resources for improvement, and what timeframe - instead of "in the near future". I'll gladly field questions from the GD community and provide you a list so you can get answers and then we can discuss those on the show. I'm sure you're familiar with TTATO. If not, give this a look https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChfBbU6nJAy9VZbKdY9yGaw.
Thoughts?
PS: May I share you reply with the GD Forum and advise them I've requested an interview with you?

Mike -
I hear you. And to be honest, I agree with a lot of what you're saying.
Would be happy to schedule a time to go on the YouTube show. Chris Cobb, who you've had on before, is still working with us and would be happy to join as well.
Looking forward to getting together and talking about the future of WIS!
