I think it’s been posted before but I can’t locate. Can anyone lay out the formula for recruiting dollars? Conference money and money based on team performance?

WTF has changed with recruiting? I have been recruiting a guy and every communication is he wants to play for us and I spent a pile but like so many other times in the past month or 2, I lose them to a sim coach! This is getting stupid! It is like wis is stealing our recruiting money on purpose.

Just out of curiosity, were these sims one division above you, or were they in the same division?

It was a division above mine. I didn't look at that. I have signed lots of players in division above mine in the past though.

I have found the same thing, and I have talked with some other coaches who independently suspect the same thing that I suspect, that they have broadened the gulf between divisions as far as recruiting is concerned. To be fair, I have also talked with coaches who have not noticed anything like that.

it takes a lot more to knock off 1a sims than 1aa sims from a 1aa school. the sims actions are tuned to provide resistance against teams with 200-300k. and keep in mind you aren't getting as much credit for each cv as a 1a team would be. so they can provide a whole lot more resistance against a 1aa team.

unless you totally knock them off, there is a better than average chance they are going to overtake you eventually. unless you are spending money on the recruit. 1aa is the hardest division to recruit in my opinion.

papachooby, what you say has always been true. What we're talking about is that they seen to have increased the disparity between the divisions.

I am almost embarrassed to admit i spent over 50k on him and all the response I received was he was coming to play for me, his parents went to my school, it was all positive and then he signed on the last day.
