Oneonta might be the evil stepmother but I would also consider Wilmington the favorite. I wouldn't be surprised to see pretty much any of the remaining teams to win it all. None of them are flukes.

This deserves special mention for a couple of reasons:
first, cheato deserves megakudos for his work at the Mc. Obviously, gopo built a great program and a great team. But early on cheato was struggling to find the right combinations against a very tough schedule and has had to fight his way back to the top. well done, cheato, well done.
second, I was sad to see gopo go. i hope he comes back someday. He was one of the true goodguys in addition to being a great coach.

The Amer Southwest Conf still has two 2 teams - The Heartland has 0, sorry, I had to throw that in there since they ended the challenge with us because we were not strong enough - McMurry is in the NT & LeTourneau is in the PIT - We have some new coaches that are doing well - I think our conference is on the way back - Hopefully I can get the East Texas Baptist team turned around.

i think we will grudingly accept that as a valid reason to leave Mcmurry.

thanks for the kudos, greatly appreciated coming from a legend. We/I wasnt ready for the triangle offense, this was my first team running that offense, but we worked the kinks out and have had a great run.
Good luck to everyone tonight and in the final games before a champ is crowned.

This is my 11th season for compiling the Dynasty list.
Observations:
1) Only 11 of the original 36 schools are on the current list. Chowan, Delaware Valley, Endicott, Hanover, Heidelberg, Mary Hardin-Baylor, Roger Williams, SUNY-Oneonta, Transylvania, Washington, and Wheaton
2) Consequently, of the current 42 schools, 31 have developed from 'also rans' into a successful program.
2) 77 different schools have appeared since the 1st list. Each school had an era where they made post-season play in 4 out of 5 seasons. This should silence the critics who believe it's impossible to build a successful DIII program.

it's too bad the magical PIT run of Eureka was in season 15 instead of season 16, or there's be another team on the list. We'll try again next season.

the irony for oneonta is that whilst we are #1 the blackielist ... we cant even win our own damn conference the past two years!!

I believe dave is talking about the overall conference title. He and I have shared conference records each of the last two years, with me nipping him in head to head games both years.

just because HD says "won reg season conference title" does not make it true.
any idiot knows that what HD calls a "reg season conf title" is really just a division title.
