The code is 20 years old. The coders employed by the company were probably 7 years old when this game was invented.

Instead of complaining after every year, maybe you should just take over a FCS team for a year, dominate it, and then get your sacred FBS job.

if im hiring a coach, and i have a choice between a championship 16+ wins per season coach from fcs, or a coach from d1 who doesn't win his conference every season... how could anyone be expected to hire the the d1 guy?

I know the code is old and not really able to be improved. That said, for any future GD versions, a "Coaches Rating" would be helpful to be able to assess a coach's qualifications and how they stand when applying for any certain school.

papa douche, if i wanted to be an FCS and dominate it i would have a long time ago. In fact I did at Dayton, I choose to play FBS to play against the best coaches. Should I not be rewarded for that? I applied to FSU seasons back, just beat them with Houston. Suck my D.

Furthermore, the worlds were 200+. You're really considering an FCS coach compared to me when the world is at 139? It's only getting worse too.

i didn't mean that as an attack on you personally. i was giving a for instance. an elite's ad should want someone who has proven to succeed in the post season, and contend for championships, over a coach whose ceiling you can see because he has been playing against d1 teams. however, an elite will take a d1 guy who has been doing all those things. win a couple playoff games a year and a cc or two in three years, and you will have elite consideration in d1. sometimes it doesn't take that much.

One may not like the game logic, but one cannot avoid the game logic. So, when you figure out what the game "does" or "does not" do....that is the reality that you have to live with. If one fights that "reality", one can only get frustrated with the results.
