Why does mike start new threads Topic

It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but multiple times now I've seen him start a new thread when the other one was perfectly on topic.

It also seems like others just expect him to start a new thread, why is there this expectation? Does he have a reason for starting a new thread that causes you to expect it?

In the most recent case, the object of the original thread was getting lost in the shuffle.

Of course, since we(me/tec) stopped posting in it, it's getting ignored.

I thought it was because Mike likes the clicky sounds his keyboard makes when he types.

I do like that.

When his arguments fail (most recent example, "hard cap") he goes on like a dog with a bone, and is the last to see that his argument failed. He can't tolerate that, so he starts a new thread about the same thing (18/62 pitcher). He uses the redline on any logical dissenting argument, the thread dissolves into infantile prattle, and he is happy. It happens so often no one is surprised any more.

So I guess, in a word, the reason for all that is "happiness."

To be fair, that's not true. I don't see him dropping redlines on other posters without just cause.

He loves the attention?

I have one thread on the front page. Started yesterday. That's probably not it.

I also have one thread on page 2. Started almost a year ago.

Seems like we may have discovered a certain troll's alias today. 5th post in this thread.

Only losers hide behind aliases.

I guess it is about like putting your tooth underneath your pillow and expecting money in the morning. It has happemed before and there is no reason to think anything different!
