ok, so i have an interesting guy.

cnt = 77
pwr = 99
vl = 43
vr = 46
be = 70
baserun = 60
bunt = 47


these are current ratings, but he's close to projections
with the high cnt/pwr and low vl/r what would you expect?

i just promoted him to the MLB squad, he's a CF (85/80 range/glove) and has 80 speed.

i'm hoping for big thing, but i don't really know how much the low splits will bring him down

At 80 Speed, I bump up dedelman's OBP by 15-20 points. He's going to get a bunch of IF hits with that skillset.

I think the best thing to do is find another guy in your world with ratings similar to the guy you are asking about. I believe Oswaldo Infante http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=1778889 is about as close as you will get.

I agree with dedelman. The splits will keep his BA in check, but he should draw a decent number of walks and if you give him 500 ABs, he might hit 30+ HRs.

Given that he plays a tough defensive position well, sounds like you have a very solid ballplayer. I'd probably bat him 2nd or 3rd and see how he does.

right now i've got him batting down in the order but in his first 58 abs he's got 4 hr's, 14rbi, and 3 sbs and is hitting .310. i know it won't last, but it's a great start. i've actually got him in lf right now while i try to trade my current CF, but can't seem to find any takers.

He may not give you gaudy OPS numbers, as his BA won't be great, but he'll change the scoreboard (the object of the game right?) and give you plenty of value on D.

just thought i'd give an update... i know it's a small sample size but so far so good


97 abs 7hrs 25rbi 4sb .309 .380 .619

no errors in CF or LF so far.
