I have the 8th pick in the rule 5 draft and will get only 1 selection.

I've manually ranked my top 8 and want the 'computer' to follow that 8 strictly. If, in the draft settings I put the target for each specific position to 0, and the target for the 'any' position to 1, will my ranking be followed? (assuming max salary isn't an issue)

If not, what settings do I need to only choose one of my top 8?

Yes, you'll get your top selection from those 8.

I thought simmie won't draft anyone if the position is set to zero. Why not put a "1" in the positions of the players you have ranked 1-8. Can't hurt.

No need, pb. The target 1 at any will do

Set position to "any", but also set the Player rank cutoff to "8" and make sure you check how much those guys will be making so you don't exclude by salary. you also need the spot in the 40 to be open

I just set my "any" position to 1, all other 0's and made sure to keep in mind the players salaries...worked fine.
