The Three Ring Progressive(not unlike a circus)...

This will be a progressive league using 3 seasons to draft from. What we won't have is a long, drawn out draft at the beginning. Instead we'll be assigned a random roster and stadium.

In subsequent seasons we'll hold a free agent draft, using 3 seasons to pick from. They'll advance each season just as our players will age each season.

In season II we'll use the 1931, 1956 and 1981 seasons to pick from. The following season we'll pick from '32, '57 and '82...If the league lives long enough to get to '56/'81/'06, we'll start over again with the original seasons...

Of the 24 teams, 8 owners will be put into each of the 3 groups. You will always draft primarily in this group. 4 of these owners will be in a division in the NL, the other 4 in the AL.. Same for the other 2 draft groups...You can request a division... (Clarification- draft pool is the entire season '31, '56 or '81, it's not split into NL and AL). I'll take what's (pick last)...

AAA only for trade filler, they may not be called up otherwise. They will be below average in quality.
NO DH in either league
No Clones or duplicate players are allowed
Injuries- turned ON
SLL restricted to next game/series
No set minimum IP for your pitching staff
Minimum wins floor is 40 wins by completion of game #120, failure gets you docked to the last spot in the following draft(applies only to the first round that you are to pick that season, and does not affect picks traded away...)
SLL restricted to next game/series
No salary cap(Rosters will vary from one season to the next. I seriously doubt anyone will ever come close to $255M, fwiw most progressive rosters range from below $100M to around $160M.)
Team names- anything you want

This league will utilize a private thread in the owner's forum, no others will have access to it. We'll have a home page that has all rules, and we'll have a separate trade thread to keep track of all player and draft pick movements..

Trades are ok all year long- Eight (8) votes against constitutes a veto. In the event that an owner controls more than 1 team, no trades during the season are allowed between those 2 teams. In the event of a trade during the season that puts your team under 25 players, you will be allowed to call up AAA players to fill your roster, but they are to be placed on rest and cannot be used..

Trading draft picks is allowed, but not more than 2 seasons in advance. -You can trade picks across eras. If you trade for a pick out of another era, you'll pick in what was your trading partner's spot in their draft.

Stadiums- may be traded. If you wish to exchange your stadium for another, you may do so, but you'll receive a penalty of being docked 5 spots in the first round that you draft in the following season's draft.
-Stadiums in use will be posted in the Home Page thread.
-No penalty if exchange takes place prior to the start of Season 1...
-No duplicate stadiums are allowed, if you exchange it must be for one not already in use..

Rosters- you'll be allowed to keep up to 25 players on your roster. This number does not reflect any players on injured reserve(IR). Players on injured reserve can be kept until they return from the IR, then they must be used or released. You are welcome to drop as many players as you wish prior to each season's draft, and you'll in turn draft as many players as needed to complete your team. You are not allowed to stash players. Any player in your possession must either be on your 25 man roster, or on IR.

Players- they age each season. There are no twists in this league. Unless specified otherwise, you may use either full or partial season stats...

All 8 starting position players will have a minimum of 525 PA/162 the first season. Backups/utility players will have a minimum of 150 PA/162.

The Group 3 OF's now include your stadium, you receive both together..

Your ace pitchers will come with a closer. One, it'll be fun to match them up. Two, some of these pitchers have little to offer in later seasons, while some have a bit more to offer after the first season. Therefore, I'll try to even it up. Whoever gets a guy like Koufax('66 is a fine season, but it is his final season) will also get a decent RP that has some longevity...Those who get an ace with some good or decent future seasons may not as much in the way of a closer...
