Centerfield is a private league looking for dedicated owners to fill these openings for hopefully years to come. We're looking to fill these openings with folks who have HBD experience. Little to no drama occurs in this league and it's just a fun league to be a part of, come join us. We're also looking to form a league blog. If you're a prospective owner out there who has some blogging skills and wants to show them off, this is the league for you.

TAKEN - Former Buffalo Blue Bombers franchise- Last season record 92-70, tied for 1st NL North, made playoffs in 4 of 8 world seasons...about $60M in committed payroll for season 9...24th overall pick in amateur draft...minor league talent: so-soOutlook: This team is primed to make another playoff run, most of the large salaries are tied up in under-30 stars, good win-now club.
Reclaimed by former owner - Former Detroit Warbirds franchise - Last season record 67-95, 4th in NL North, made playoffs in 2 of 8 world seasons...about $32M in committed payroll for season 9...8th overall selection in amateur draft...minor league talent: pretty good, a couple stars in the making.Outlook:This team has had a tough run the last few years but has 2 stars at the ML level and a few more in AA.Team could use some TLC and put in the right direction.
TAKEN - Former Philadelphia Associates franchise - Last season record 78-84, tied for 1st in NL East, swept in World Series, made playoffs in 3 of 8 world seasons, finished 1st or 2nd in every world season, about $24M in committed payroll for season 9...18th overall pick in amateur draft...minor league talent: so-so, not a whole lot of depth, but some talent to be found. Outlook: led by 24-year old star Wascar Cubillan, this team has a strong, young nucleus, with low committed payroll, a new owner has plenty of cash to burn to push this team to the playoffs again.
TAKEN - Former Dover Doves franchise - Last season record 78-84, tied for 1st in NL East, made playoffs in 5 of 8 world seasons....about $93M in committed payroll for season 9...15th overall selection in amateur draft...minor league talent: not very good.Outlook:nobody on the ML club is older than 33, so although the payroll is high, the talent is there to match the salaries.With the right guidance, this team could compete right away and for years to come.
Los Angeles Ebonic Plague franchise - Last season record 71-91, 4th in NL West, team has never reached the postseason...about $16M in committed payroll for season 9...11th overall pick in amateur draft...minor league talent: pretty poor.Outlook: This team needs a patient and committed owner to turn this ship around.This club has never finished above 3rd in its division.Low payroll means no bad contracts so an owner can easily start at ground zero and work this franchise up.
American League
TAKEN - Former Honolulu Bruddahs franchise - Last season record 81-81, 3rd in AL West, made playoffs in 2 of 8 world seasons...about $57M in committed payroll for season 9...20th overall selection in amateur draft...minor league talent: so-so.Outlook:No superstars on this team, although it has a monster C/1B waiting at AAA that could be called up this season.A bunch of solid veterans on this team that may have a few season before an overhaul.
