PLaying a injury player?? Topic

I have a sweet 16 game coming up. My starting center is at 74 percent and the trainer told me to sit him. But its an important game. Is he going to be less effective?

Yes -- significantly less effective. I see that you lost, but I wouldn't second-guess the decision.

I was faced with a similar situation in the f4 last season and rested the player. I was lucky to win and then he was at 84% next game so then I played him. Sometimes those are tough calls to make. Alot of it depends on your depth at that position and the matchup.

Lol, now that I think about it, I was faced w. the same situation in the E8 last season (76 or 77 health) and played the injured guy (and lost by a pt in OT). So do as I say, not as I do! I did cut his distro by about 50% though.

But he was my best player, and I felt there was a major drop-off if I benched him. In general, I would play a guy at 74 health.

Had a similar situation. I was cruising, blasting everyone in my conference (16-0), then late in the first half of the conference title game my leading scorer pops a hammy. Drops him down to 56. Lost in round 2 in OT. I played him, but I dropped him to 4th string and just hoped to eat up minutes to help w/ fatigue with my other players. Looking back I probably would have just rested him. Who knows how much the guys he was guarding took advantage of him? Probably a lot while he was in. Probably cost me at least 1 point in regulation. Bad call on my part.

as my rule 80 or better plays unless I have no one else
