Need the opinions of the masses here on an issue I have with my Missouri team in Crum with another account. Long and short of it is, tied for the Division Title in the Big 12 which was the #1 RPI conference last season, Sweet 16 and National Ranking caused my prestige to go up from a B+ to an A-. No problem there and was hoping for better but wasn't worried because of the draft boost. Had 3 players get drafted including #3 overall and stayed at an A- prestige.

Here is what I don't understand in my communications with CS on the issue. They told me that I did get a boost in my range but not enough to raise me to the next letter grade. Fine great no problem except that Michigan State that past two seasons has had the same level of success as I have and only had 1 player drafted(which the current coach did not recruit by the way) and yet their prestige went up to an A. The funny part is that CS is now telling me that I am going to be better off in recruiting then Michigan State because I got the bigger boost from last season to this season because of success and drafted players??!! Now can anyone tell me how I am better off with an A- prestige then Michigan State is with an A??

Baseline Prestige, Michigan State has it, Missouri doesn't.

My feeling is that once a world has matured like Crum, baseline prestige should disappear into the sunset and what you build is what you get. You run a top program into the ground, someone is the task of trying to rebuild it to the glory days. I thought that is what HD was all about.

This is why I don't bog myself down in CS tickets. You haven't learned anything useful and are actually more confused than before you raised the topic.

EDIT: After looking at your team, you should actually be thrilled that you're at an A- right now. If the Big 12 in Crum wasn't so strong at the moment, you'd probably be at B+, given the fact that there is a missed postseason and a PI appearance in the four-season window.

I cannot tell you any reason why an A- is better off than an A, if I understand the game, the advice you are getting is wrong.

I can tell you that a reason in addition to baseline prestige that you are an A- and Mich State is an A, might be something similar to baseline, and that is where both of your prestiges were at 5 seasons ago (i.e. your prestige I am guessing was worse 5 seasons ago, hence although you may have almost closed the gap, you still have not caught up to mich state)
