I am new......Another question for you vets. What do you do when you travel/go on vacation and don't have access to a computer? What if its recruiting season? I don't see anyway to gameplan ahead.

This is an area WIS falls down on. Hopefully this will be addressed in the upcoming engine overhaul. Right now all you can do is ask a friend or relative to cover for you or see if someone here on the site will help. There are quite a few coaches willing to help if you post well in advance.

If it is recruiting that you need help with there are plenty of vet coaches who are willing to help out.

To recruit I've done the following:

Wifes iPhone,
Internet cafe,
hotel business center computer,
public library.

I really should get a life.

almost every single place you can go will have internet access. if you're going camping then good luck! but actually, i've seen quite a few campsites that have internet stations in the ranger office or market.

the only really rough thing is recruiting, but it isnt THAT bad. best bet with limited access is to wait till the last day and take care of it in all one big swoop. hit up an internet connection right around 4:40. Do all your recruiting in 10 min. Wait for the 5'o'clock responses and finish up.

i spent 6 month running around europe and juggled three HD teams. it was fun times.

my wife still wont let me live down the time we were drivng to southcarolina and i suggested we stop for a bite to eat. the family goes in and sits and i say, i'll be back, and i run across the streeet and walk into a hotel and ask if there is a business center for gueasts(as if i am one) she points it out and away i go.

my onyl problem is i never can make it a quickie 5-10 minutes and next thing i know an hour has gone by and i scurry back to the restraunt just as the hostess is clearing the table from the lunch already eaten by the family.

oops.

oh well, she laughs about it now.

yeah Oldave, my ex-wife has a similar story..Fortunately my new and improved model is as much of a games geek as I and completely understands the addiction (albeit not HD)
