How many home visits equal a campus visit? Is it always better to do a campus visit over a home visit?

Depends on the distances of you and the school who you are battling.

Can you expand on that a little bit zhawks? Like if I'm closer to the player I should use more campus visits, and if I'm farther do I use more phone calls etc.?

There are phone calls? I never use them... You need to figure out where your money is best spent. Do the math as to how much a cv costs for your opponent and you and do the same for hvs. Then see which ratio is more in your favor.

Ok thanks zhawks that helps a lot

Quickest way to see how much your opponent has to spend is to do a quick search and find a kid that is the same distance from you that the kid you both are recruiting is from him (hope that isn't too hard to follow).

Ya I understand what you are saying. Thanks for your help

Z--I'm just not sure this is right. If you could make the other player use the same type of recruiting as you, that would be correct. But, since they are free to use whatever they want, the optimal recruiting strategy depends on the underlying value of a HV vs. a CV, not just the ratios.

Valid point, but I don't believe so. Because you are still getting more for your money then they are (or the most for your money). It isn't a perfect science by any means but you'd want to maximize the effort for your money and I don't think overspending on one v the other does any good what-so-ever.
