where you can run a franchise like HBD and watch your minor league players develop and such (where the minors actually have games) but where it is a game that you download to your computer... I want to buy one but I dont know where to look. Thanks!

Out of the Park Baseball is a great game.

Out of the Park is great. You use real life players from the past using modern day rules (free agency, rule 5 etc.). I replayed every season from 1919 to 1930. One oddity. In 1920 Babe Ruth tore up his knee, missed the entire season and never recovered enough to become a great player. Wound up with about 179 career HRs.

I had Out of the Park Baseball. It was a very enjoyable game, not as good as HBD but it's a worthy substitute.

I like that you can use real (from ANY era) or fake players and the fact that it is a very detailed game.

Speaking of which... does anyone know of an NBA equivalent to HBD? Hoops Dynasty doesn't really do it for me, but I'd be all over an NBA-based dynasty game.

My only beef with hoops dynasty was the recruiting. I ALWAYS got nailed for booster money and then you are shot. I am going to give it another shot soon though. Can't beat a $5 first season.

Simple, stop giving out booster gifts.

Yeah, I made a fake player with my name and my imagined talents. A CF who fielded like Edmonds, ran like Tim Raines, and hit like Ted Williams. Juvenile, yes, but fun.
