The kid’s mental? Topic

Let me be the first one to say congratulations - oh, wait, that's what I'd say if I were happy. Let me rephrase that - you signed Dwayne Belcher?!? Are you insane? The kid's mental.

Nothing

That's a holdover from the days of dilemmas (sp). It has no current function, so don't give it a 2nd thought.

Whew - I had exactly the same question. What a relief!

days of dilemmas? I'm not very senior around here. Started around season 20 in tark. I'm guessing recruits attitude used to factor in?

They were a horrible idea and added nothing to the game.

I do slightly remember it was supposed to be a factor when i first started playing HD. I was in Div III for awhile though so never really thought much of it afterwards.

In theory it sounds like it could be a an interesting factor just as WE makes what could be a star into a scrub, attitude could make a potential star into a bust.

That isn't how they worked at all.

When you took over a new team dilemmas were an effective way to weed out the roster. Sim recruit is 5 minutes late for practice; cut him. One of your starters gets arrested; make him run 5 laps.

I never saw any benefit of them being used as they were intended as far as listing you as a strict coach or a patsy.

Weren't some recruits suppose to like one type of coach over the other?

Well I could see where at least it'd be something fun to mess with in between game results.

SO how DID it work? I keep hearing it was bad, but not how it was bad.

Iguana just showed you. It added nothing to the game.

THat was the extent of it? Seems like it would just have been pretty innocuous and useless then.

Right it added nothing. All it was was a tool to expel kids that you didn't want on your team from past coaches and it was really really annoying.
