I got an email saying that the policy has changed to only 6 players per class. Does this mean I have to drop one of the seven juniors I have on my roster?

All that this means is you can't recruit past 6 players per class. It does not mean you have to drop any players.

When it comes time to recruit that seven man class you would need to only have six come in in that freshman class. You could bring in a upperclassman through transfer or JUCO if you choose.
