my team is running a fastbreak and a press. i am getting ready for the NT and trying to figure out a general strategy. my team also lacks rebounding but has speed and athleticism. is it generally better to position my guys + or -? any other ideas or suggestions would be great.

You can't come up with a strategy if you don't know who you'll be playing.

your right but i need some general tips or ideas since ive only played 3 seasons so far.

I just checked your roster....wow!

You better keep Wakefield in as long as you can, even if it means running slow down. I'm surprised you've done as well as you have with your team's rebounding.

Best general tip: You can't come up with a strategy if you don't know who you'll be playing.

Knowing what I know about tournament teams, I would really suggest gaining any possible rebounding advantage you can.

But as cornfused mentioned you need to wait to see who you're playing.

yeah im not looking for specific gameplanning against certain opponents, just some ideas i could use for my team :)

okay, then bump up the thread when you get your first round opponent. That's my best advice.

He has just 15 posts and is already smarter than colonels19.

JFYI: That wasn't directed at you ineverlose If you read the forums regularly, you would understand.

I wouldn't be as concerned with who you are playing. You have the team that is difficult to match up against. You can't go slowdown as a FB team. I would set your defense to 0 and go with this 2-deep:

PG Webster, Glaude
SG Perry, Maiorano
SF Parris, Fletcher
PF Nick, Myers
C Wakefield, Long

Why would you move Perry from PG? That makes absolutely no sense.

Of course it does. The passing alone makes Webster an equal PG, especially if playing against a pressing team, plus it's likely that Perry's defense will come in handy against the other team's SG. Plus, Perry has better per.

I don't think his reb is that bad for div III. He has 1 great rebounder and then several solid ones. Oh what I would do to have players over +70 rebounding on my div III teams.
