This player had a huge mid-season ratings bump -- 2 pts. CN, 3 pts. vL, 3 pts. vR, 1 pt. GB, 2 pts. P1, 2 pts. P2 and 2 pts. P3, or 15 points overall. Anyone seen a single mid-season bump that big before? My previous high was 9 pts., I believe.

He was a DITR this season. His first bump after becoming a DITR brought an increase of 5 pts. (1 pt. each in five pitching categories).

He now projects to borderline major-leaque quality (had projected to A-ball before DITR): 61 CN, 64/72 split, 83 VE, 45 GB, 91/67/51 pitches.

It's weird that he's gotten two big bumps and has not really improved on the in-between cycles. Two weeks ago, when I looked at this player, he looked like he was stagnating, with little to no growth in S14.

Then, BOOM! a bunch of 2-3 point improvements, all at once. It'll be interesting to see if he gets anything else this season or if he scuffles along till another BIG jump at the end of the season.

I haven't really paid attention to what growth occurs after a player becomes a DITR, because most of them aren't prospects.

They make big improvements.

Looks like he was promoted from Rookie toLow A in there, that could be the reason for the extra large bump (giving him credit for the promotion)

I'm sure it helped. But it's still the biggest mid-season bump I've ever seen.

He's 20 years old. Most guys improve the most from 18-22, so I wouldn't consider his development anything too out of the ordinary.
