Before we go any farther, a situation has come up that everyone should be aware of: Since we're able to raid each other's rosters during this draft (except for the keepers, of course), there stands a chance that someone with their last pick can, in a sense, go in and grab someone else's starting catcher - probably leaving them with hardly any recourse.

Three ways we can go here:

(1) Before the draft begins, get with the other owners in your draft and ask them if, after the fourth round, that they make each other's teams off-limits for the last round;
(2) Before the draft begins, make your Catcher (or some other position that would be affected) one of your keepers; or
(3) Just leave things the way they are and say "Let the cards fall where they may!"

Totally up to you guys in each draft - I don't care either way. Just something we thought you should be aware of...

Good morning, guys. This should be fun.

My first pick is Nap Lajoie - 2b

With regard to the juice's message above, I would be happy with option (1). Can be flexible, however, if you both want option 2 or 3, I would like to reserve the right to adjust my keepers.

Hey calhoop, I'm good with option one. Plenty of good picks without poaching (and revenge poaching - I DO have the last pick :)

GL to you both!

Then again Donie Bush looks like the best unprotected SS...

I'm good with option 1... And looking over potential picks as I write this.

The Tigers would like to welcome Christy Mathewson from the Giants.
2/21/2010 5:25 PM
A's will take Shoeless Joe Jackson. At least we'll have a scapegoat for suspicious losses.
2/21/2010 6:06 PM
Pirates happy to add Ed Walsh.
2/21/2010 6:51 PM
Gosh, I seem like a glutton, but I guess I'll go with Three-Finger Mordecai Brown of the Cubs.
2/21/2010 9:58 PM
Tris Speaker - Red Sox
2/21/2010 10:40 PM
Glad I checked in before turning in for the night.

Walter Johnson - P for the Pirates.

Pleasure drafting with you two. See you tomorrow.

Well, gonna have to stick with pitching and take Cy Morgan of the Athletics (sorry Yaz!).
2/21/2010 11:14 PM
Better get Orval Overall - Cubs
2/21/2010 11:19 PM
