Rebounding Topic

My team has 4 players that REB ratings of: 99, 98, 95, 90. We are doing pretty good this year, IMHO.
But they are hella slow and not really that athletic at all. How much of a factor is a high rebounding rating?

A little. I have some hella slow rebounders on my d3 team.

ON the other hand, I have had some really unathletic but very fast posts with good rebounding ratings at both dIII and DII that rebounded quite well, especially on offensive rebounding. Not sure if that woudl work at dI.

Work ethic plays a role in rebounding, and your bigs have pretty decent numbers for D2

I believe I saw in a Dev chat that WE plays no role in in-game situations.

I know they had mentioned that WE does play a small part in the game itself, but never really got any detailed information regarding that.

I think - but am not sure cause it was long ago - that there was once a chat in which it was implied that WE affected rebounding results but that was later clarified away. I dont know fer sure. I dont think it has an affect or any big effect......but others may know

So does speed or athleticism matter more? Obviously to be a elite rebounder you must have high ratings of both. Im just curious.

I think ATH....but others will know better than me ... I do this by gut and impression, while others maintain spreadsheets

Ath. I don't have the spreadsheets, but I've led the country in reb margin in a couple of different worlds and a couple of times in each world. Ath/Reb is better than Spd/Reb, especially on the offensive end.

no spreadsheets here either, but for reb, i would take ath over speed in a heartbeat :)

My leading rebounder Ronald Sharon has a high Ath. 7.1 rpg.
