OK..so on my ML roster I was with 6 pitchers that were of any quality. (Not to mention I was with a lot of big contracts all over the place)

One of the pitchers was a 20 million man. He was a good solid #1 but I traded him for a #3 for me and a starting SS (which I didn't have).

This managed to clear me up 6 million in cap space (after it goes thru).

Well, as far as cap space goes I'm going to have around 20 million (I figure I need a couple million to fill the minor league teams out) for free agency.

As far as position players I should be ok. I may need to go get a cheap defensive ss to have to sub for guys but he should be the only position player I need.

So I figure I'm going to need at least 5-6 more pitchers.

I have a couple at AA who I am hesitant to bring up but it maybe best considering I'm not going to have a lot of FA money to sign many pitchers.

So do you guys think, if needed, I could bring these guys up to the ML?:

They could be okay at the ML level, not world beaters and frankly could stink it up. But they could also put some decent numbers up.

For future reference. To link a player in the forum, click on the 'blog' button on the player's profile. Copy the 'Forum Player Link' information and paste it into your post. They will show up as such:

I try that.

That's where I got the link from. I copy that blog forum player link then come here and paste it and it always shows up the same as a link.

Copy the link address and open up the C looking thing when doing a post. Post name and then address.

Bam, another option.

$20m is not a small amount to fill 5-6 pitching spots and a backup SS, if you're not going to spend $10+ on a #1/2 SP. I assume Rule 5 is still upcoming, plus the active waiver periods following R5 and at the end of spring training. You should be able to fill your SS spot + the last 2 spots in your pen for $2m or less this way. If you sign 1 or 2 FA pitchers during spring training, the prices will have fallen. Say $3m for 2 pitchers. THat leaves you plenty of cash to go after maybe 3 higher dollar FA pitchers during regular FA. Make sure to leave $1-2m at least for in season moves. It sucks to see s guy you want on the waiver wire and not have the $800k to claim him.

Way to commit.

I wouldn't bother with those guys. Durability and Stamina is way too low on both of them. You'd be lucky to get 30 IP out of each (and that with a bunch of pitching staff adjustments to ensure they never pitch at 0(0)).

This is the dumbest thing I've read on here today.

Those guys can easily pitch more than 30 IP.
