Rankings STILL Broken Topic

A subjective opinion, of course, but one would think that a team that went 13-3 in the highly rated Big Ten conference, won 22 games, was the regular season and conference tournament champion, and was rewarded with a #3 seed in the Big Dance would be worthy of a ranking. That would be an incorrect assumption. See Northwestern in Allen for details.

Until rankings count toward seeding, they are just window dressing. As long as you got a #3 seed, who cares?

They count towards prestige and promotions. They're not window dressing, though they absolutely should be.

It's also symptomatic ... if they constantly fail to get that right, why should we have confidence that they're getting other things right?

Tell you what, jslot...I'll trade my #15 ranking and FIVE seed for your unranked three.

Seble is working on the rankings right now on the test site.

It's a complicated question to solve, but he's discussing it with the beta testers.

Of course rankings are still broken. Nothing has been fixed. Until the new release comes out, the rankings will continue to be broken.

Per CS rankings don't count much towards prestige, at least when I asked a couple of weeks ago that's what they told me.
