Type D Compensation Topic

If I get this response from the player: "Mitch is content with your offer, but is still unclear about his future. College is still an option, so he's gonna take his time with this decision. He'll let you know if anything changes." If I withdraw the offer will I get compensation for this player next season?

Nope. You have to let him decline the offer completely.

1 more question. The pick in question is a 2nd round pick. Would I still be eligible to receive type d compensation if the pick was a compensation pick? I.E. I got the pick for someone signing a type a player of mine?

No, compensatory picks are not eligible for Type D compensation.

"Compensation round picks for Type A and Type B FAs DO NOT qualify for Type D compensation picks." This pick would not be a compensation round pick. It was in the 2nd round. I don't know if that matters or not...

But it's a type A comp pick in the second round, correct?

Well it's a moot point because I just looked it up and it was my actual pick. But for future reference, yes, it would have been a type a in the second round. I was referring to the supplemental round when I said it would not be a compensation round pick btw. I figured the supplemental round was the compensation round.
