I just a recruited a good guy however his WE is only 19. Is that gonna hurt me in the future with less improvement? Or does it depend on playing time/starts? Should have I avoided recruiting him?

19 is borderline for the limit in terms of not recruiting a guy. That will have a negative impact on improving but if he speed, ath and other ratings are good enough for you then take a shot at getting him.

19 is ok but I wouldnt go any lower than that. Playing time and starts will usually help his WE but if its lower then it can depend on the player and sometimes he won't go up at all.

Oh ok thanks. He is a pretty solid player and his potential looks pretty nice. I just wonder how that will affect his growth and increase of ratings.

I just had a guy graduate that started with a WE of 13. He had six high potential categories, which included Stamina and Durability.

He improved 30+ points each of his first two seasons. During the offseason he always seemed to regress in a couple categories more than others. His stamina dropped 4 points each off-season.

He was a starter his last two seasons and ended up with a total improvement of over 150 points over the four seasons. He never maxed out those high potentials but ended up improving from 14-19 points in the six categories that he began with high potential.

In this day in age, a 19 WE could work out.

Lately, I have been setting a 16 minimum WE for guys I recruit. I wonder if starting a guy like you are will impact it much. Keep us updated.

My min is 25, and I only go below 30 if the guy is special or he can start by his sophomore year

I recruited 2 guys with poor WE's (10 and 1) that have started every game through non-con. So far, the 10 has gone up 1 pt of WE and the 1 hasn't improved in anything. Meanwhile, my benched upperclassmen have gone up 2 pt's in WE. I'm not too sure that starting helps improve WE. Or does WE have an impact on improvement of WE?
