Yeah, I got fired from LaSalle in Wooden, spent my obigatory 4 in D2 and am now back in D1 rebuilding a bad Air Force team. It's an ego hit, but an understandable and neccessary part of the game. I would only say that it seems like it is the low majors and top mid-majors that really have to deal with this issue and it's a bit annoying in that respect. Both times I've been in jeopardy it's been in a top RPI conference taking over the lowest team, and while I set no records, the hurdles that creates should be mitigated to an extent. Especially when you have some traditionally good schools who retain coachs who don't exactly excel. I've seen some coachs stay at some pretty high profile programs with little success while others get fired trying to rebuild the lower end schools in power conferences... Not advocating more firings, but I think the bar should be more relative to the school's baseline prestige.
