Tanker removed, reinstated 2 days later Topic

Bench world known Tanker Shoop19 runs his team into the ground for 3 seasons gathering #1 picks over and over again all the while winning at a .190%.....we report it to our commish who gives him fair chance to promote 80+ rated players he has stocked at A ball and make his team better..he promotes only 1....Commish has him removed, new owner takes over and wins more games in 2 days than Shoop19 did in 2 weeks, promotes players, signs ML level FA, starts to build up team and WHAMO, the brains at HBD headquarters dump new owner without notice and reinstate a known tanker...all the while disregarding their own rules of fair play. "we warned him" is what we were told but he was already given that warning before and our commish actually went to admin prior to having him removed with the evidence so I have to wonder why the change back...is SHOOP19 on the payroll at Admin?

Flood gates open to all tankers now...the rules don't mean anything.

it is pretty bad. He was warned once by the commish, then given a week to bring changes to his team. There were plenty of FAs that were better than his pitching staff. After that week and him drafting another 90+ rated player he was removed and a former owner put in his place. The replacement owner made changes, goes 6-2 and for some reason ADMIN puts the tanker back into the world with a statement of

"He has been given a formal warning by us and was told to flesh out his ML pitching staff with ML caliber players. If he does not adhere to the guidelines that we told him this morning he will be removed from the world."

Tank away. all it gets you is a formal warning. Thanks Admin! Great move! BOHICA!

Wow. Sh*t like that makes me want to stop throwing my money away on this site. Too bad I'm extremely attached to my 2 squads.

Good luck with that whole situation.

If he's been doing it for 3 seasons, why was he allowed to return?

I think there was a warning sign after season 12. Should have never been allowed back after season 13. You created your own monster.

Yeah, maybe WiS figures that since you put up with him tanking for so long, what's another part season. I expect that the commish should just not approve him for next season. Don't let him reap the rewards!

That's the best way to stop tanking. I'm just guessing but I think S4 or S5 of a tank job is when you begin to see the benefits. Pull the plug.

To be fair the commish did talk to him after season12's failure to adhere to WIS's stated policy - while not privy to those conversations it was intimated that the cheater would change his ways.

But the problem isn't our tolerance for his cheating - the problem is that sitestaff did the right thing and then recanted - as the cheater was a '6 year user of the site' and was duly warned according to customer support.

We got him kicked - we got a new owner - then admin returned him with a half-baked excuse.

But he did the same thing in S13 and S14. Bringing him back for S15 is on your world.

Sitestaff should have asked the world "Why is it a problem now? He's been doing it for three seasons and you let him come back for the fourth."

Why we waited so long is on us - why he was returned is not.

Bingo! How fun! But, I digress. Where were we?

I'm not disagreeing that he shouldn't have been returned. I'm just saying you won't garner much sympathy from the masses because you kept him around so long under the same circumstances.
