He’s a very high priority... Topic

Can I get some examples of the recruiting effort it takes to get the "he's a very high priority" or "School X is very tight with him" messages for the Word on the Street? Seems like no matter what kind of effort I put in - starts, plenty of HV, CV - I never see it for my recruits.

Impossible to do, it takes different amounts depending on prestige. What it would take to get that with an A is differant than what it would take for a C. If you aren't getting those messages, what messages are you getting on WOTS? Are you aiming too high, so that most of your recruiting efforts only get you to the lowest point of concidering?

MU, check your sitemail.

creil, thanks for the sitemail. That's a big help.

doomey, thanks - I had been wondering if the amount of effort to get to that point changes with your prestige. To answer your questions, assuming I'm not in a battle (where I get the "who's ahead" message), I've always been getting the "School has shown interest in him but he's open to other offers" type of message.

To get there, I almost always put in more than a minimal amount of effort, but I've never been sure where to stop before I'm effectively bidding against myself. I'm at a mid-major with decent prestige (for a mid-major), but I rarely have a war chest to fight a prolonged battle against a power conference school even if I'm ahead on prestige. I'm not going for 5 star players so I don't think I'm overreaching but I guess it's possible.

My guess is something like 20-25 home visits or so would get you that message as a B prestige with a 3-star recruit.
