Would love to know how possibly the following guy is a HoF.

Career Record 1099-4965....I negative 35000 rating. 39 Teams, Never Once in Playoffs. I checked all the other sports and no teams even played there..

As unfair as it seems...its because of the cash spent on teams.

This makes me feel like even more of a loser for checking my status regularly, hoping I'll finally make the jump to HOF. If that guy is a HOF, it means even less than I thought.

So the biggest factor is money spent on teams? Because I have had over 50 teams, and I know I haven't earned more than 12 free teams. He must have bought a whole bunch of teams he hasn't entered yet.

Conspiracy Theory time:

Sometimes I think half the players in leagues are just "dummy" owners. WIS sports/MSN employees who enter teams with free credits to keep interest in the site and just let the teams fly on their own. Why would you buy all those teams and not even try to understand the game? Why would you buy all those teams and just keep on losing.

There was one owner who had the stud year of Ty Cobb, and he had him sitting the bench for 140 games that season. It made no sense whatsoever. He wasn't trying to win. I mentioned it, he made a small comment about not knowing what I talking about a week later, but never changed his lineup.

If you're too busy to pay attention to the game, why flush your money down the toilet?

My record shows that I am not deserving of HOF status (but I am not quite as bad as Creeper's example).

I bought several 6-packs some time ago, and I was automatically promoted to the "Hall".

I"m another HOF'er, and while I enjoy the status, I know I do not deserve it.

There are easier leagues than others. Playing in themes and progressives and champs leagues is a lot harder than some open leagues. People spending a lot of time playing in harder leagues will have a more difficult time maintaining a great record. One's record shouldn't be THAT important. Number of stars after your name isn't THAT important either.

Not to sound crazy, but I have often thought the same thing. At the cost of a 6-Pack I cannot believe that some people spend hundreds of dollars a year on this site while never winning. There are tons of guys that choose teams in themes that clearly have no chance to win and claim to just enjoy taking different players. Just always made me wonder...

Agreed. It should be classified on # of playoff teams, championships, and TOC championships in my opinion.. HOF is suppose to be for performance, not for the Yankees and George Steinbrenner lol

Remember though...there is also being a legend for legend's sake.
