I have a few guys with high 20's and low 30's WE and was wondering if they will ever reach potential... they will be playing a ton of minutes their freshman year so will that help at all?

Playing a ton if minutes as freshmen will absolutely help their WE. I usually recruit guys with 30+ WE, and even the lower-WE guys seem to max out their ratings (i.e. reach potential) by their junior year or early their senior year. And your only player with a truly ugly WE is a senior anyway, so you don't need to worry about him. You should be fine.

ok thanks.. I figured i would be ok but then I started reading alot of older forums about WE and got a little scared

I agree with bhanasalid. I think alot of people are overly paranoid about WE, once you get into the 20s guys will almost always cap if they play enough and have normal high in the high potential categories. The only times guys won't cap is when they cap is 30+ points, and in that case it's no big deal because you'll still end up getting 25-30 points worth of improvement out of the player.

thanks, and thanks for scheduling me next season kmason even though it is gonna hurt your SOS bc it is gonna take me a couple of seasons to get this team back on track

How do you know if a guy reached his potential?

they will just stop getting better... like completely

Also, you'll get an email from your assistant coach every time the player maxes out a category.

^ thats a better answer

Just to make sure, the phrasing of those assistant emails doesn't matter, right? There's no difference in the "don't see any more improvement" versus the "not *so* many minutes" ones, any of the practice emails mean they've capped out?

I think the difference matters. The "*SO* many minutes" and "EXTRA" minutes messages tell me that the guy has only 2-3 points .
The "that's all I can get out of him" indicates that he's hit his cap. I could be completely wrong, though, but that seems logical.
