Anyone know if WIS will switch to 68 teams if the NCAA does??? I personally feel this kills competitiveness in the regular season. Best would be to hold a coach wide poll and see how users feel on it i guess.

Historically, WIS has tried to reflect the NCAA in rules and format as much as practical. I would expect WIS will go to this format when the NCAA does.

wis doesnt have the 65 team tourney with play-in, doubt they switch to 68 anytime soon, primarily because that adds a full day to worlds but has a minimal number of teams actually playing.

I doubt we will see the 68 any time soon, like VD said, we still do not have the 65th team

I think regardless of what happens, they should keep the tournaments as is.

That's not really possible since in RL not all conferences have exactly 12 teams broken into 2 divisions of 6 each.

Just for fun, I tried to reorganize the conferences. It's impossible to make them all logical and stay with 12 teams/conference. That's just the way it is.

Yeah this is one thing that is going to have to fall under 'game needs it' and cannot ever reflect reality.

The only thing I would like though if they ever opened another world would be to get the D1 teams correct....there are 347 now...currently 324 in HD...add 1 to the 347, 2 more conferences and you're in business. That's the only League/conference change I would make in this game...although it would also cause some adjustment of D2 as well.

how would you do #348? take a d2 team at random?

what if two years from now there are four or 5 changes with schools moving from d2 to d1 or vice versa?

Im not trying to ba an ***, just trying to figure out why you think its important to get this seemingly trivial (to me) piece right.

i guess if i had gone to cal st louis piscopo or what ever and really wanted to coach them in HD in d1, and they were stuck in d2 here... i guess then it would bug me, but i would think that is an incredibly small number of people in that situation.

It could be detrimental to D2 though too...bogging it down to 250 or so teams so it'd be 348-252-384.
