Montevallo Revisited Topic

After Montevallo closed the season at 1-26 (their only win coming against me, including exhibition), this further cements to me that I should have beaten them handily when I played them...there's simply no excuse...here is Montevallo's team page...what a damned shame...

I'd let it go Colonels, your team just happened to be the needle in the haystack for that team that season. Should you have won the game? Sure as has been pointed out but the chips just didn't fall that way for that one game in their season.

I'm not asking you to come off your position or anything like that. I'm just saying, season's over move on.

I know, I'm just bringing up the point that I feel that rest of Montevallo's season backs my claim that I undoubtedly should have won that game and it makes it that much harder to swallow. The season will be over this week, so this will probably be the last of it, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Yeah the loss definitely blows but don't twist your mind into a pretzel over it or you'll drive yourself crazy and right out of the game.

Or it backs the claim that you're a terrible coach.

Other teams won and won big with similar setups...there's really no way I should have lost that game...even if I played slowdown and - 5.

The truth is, just like rl, if there weren't upsets there wouldn't be a reason to play the games. Have I lost games I should have won? Of course, but so has every HD & RL team that's played more than a hand full of games. Again, that's why we play the games!

LOL, great logic. Clearly any team that has won a NC was the best team and should have been undefeated. Clearly any team that has won only one game should have lost that one game because all those other games obviously have a direct impact on that one game. Dude, you lost, it wasn't that big of a deal, move on.

I'd also like to point out that Montevallo's SOS was over twice as tough as yours...

So?.....I got housed by a 6-21 sim at home when? I lost to a 5-22 sim at home when?

You still don't seem to understand that the results of other games have no impact on your game. The fact is your ratings advantages weren't good enough to justify your claim that you could have put out a terrible gameplan and still won 100% of the time. I'm obviously new to this game still but I'd think with the gameplan you ran you could have expected to win maybe 70-75% of the time. You could probably have pushed that well over 90% just by running uptempo.

I do understand this, it just makes the fact that I was the only team that lost to them, more glaring. I'm not even close to being as bad as some of the teams that beat Montevallo. It was a W stamped in concrete that never was and its a shame. The fact that they beat no one else adds to the anamoly factor. Seble saw this game and decided from this one game that the engine and the RNG was broken. So, he decided to build a whole new engine and created new recruits for you to recruit. He even made a big dev chat about it.
