I want to know what the colonels thinks of this. It's not a result I have a big problem with, but I do see it as a serious outlier.

Just out of curiosity, what aspects of this result do you feel makes it a serious outlier?

I too would like to know why you think its a serious outlier...the difference in OTR? Because that can be misleading as others have pointed out. I'd like to know your specific gripes about this game, because it seems rather tame to me.

Does anyone here believe that if this game happened to Colonels that he wouldn't complain to no end? Look at their defensive IQs and ratings and tell me how they held me to 29% shooting. Look at their rebounding and athleticism ratings and tell me how they dominated on the boards. Again, I don't actually have a problem with it. But I don't believe for a second that if it happened to colonels that he would see it as "tame."

Ahhh the infamous setup gag. I gripe about MAYBE 1 game a season and the bottom line is, given everything, I shouldn't have lost to Montevallo, period. I'll have to look closer into the game in question here, however on the surface it doesn't look that wild. I don't gripe as much as you guys think I do, its just that when I do, its always very thorough, thus it becomes memorable. Like I always say the "its only one game" statement is not a valid excuse for anything. If you feel like you got screwed, you should say so, period...it happens all the time in the NBA sim...they even have a daily ration of nonsense thread.

Bottom line, show me a game similar to this of MINE that I griped about...anywhere.

How 'bout that Montevallo game you keep talking about? Sure, Montevallo was a crappier D2 school than California Lutheran is a D3 school. But I feel that I made up a great deal of the difference by actually gameplanning and running uptempo. Also worth noting that I held their two best scorers to a combined 11 points without having to doubleteam. It wasn't even the 2 decent players they do have that beat me. As I recall my starters were better at every position but SG and my bench players were better at every position. Again, sh*t happens and I'm not too worried about it. But I'm pretty sure you would have been.

The Montevallo game borders on inexcusable and any and all games are in question. The deeper issue for me personally is trusting WIS and that they output and do things the way that they say they do, because I don't believe that always and I/we've discussed this ad nauseum as well.

You can ASSUME that I would gripe about this kind of game all you want, but the fact of the matter is, I didn't and I haven't. Feel free to peg this for future reference, but I gripe when there's something to gripe about.

THen why were you griping about the Montevallo game?
