Progressive Franchise Twist

'33-'34-'35

#90300

Gentlemen, I dusted off the classics of yester-year for the Progressive Franchise Twist League. I created this concept, habsfan1 tweaked and improved it to the 3-year format. I chose to start this in 1933 as it was the first year of the All*Star game. My only request is that you name your franchise of the actual team name of today's major league teams that they have evolved into (Senators=Twins, etc.). *There is also a $10 Gift Certificate awarded by administration to the team to improves their team the most win %-wise over how your chosen squad actually fared(One caveat for the $10 Gift certificate, for the 1st season all owners are obviously elgible, but for the following seasons only A)new owners or B)returning owners with the same team are eligible. Now, you are welcome to switch teams year-to-year if you like, but this promotes owners or true fans to stay with their teams). Have fun!1.) Pick a franchise. You get any player who appeared in at least one game on that team in those years (http://baseball-reference.com/), any year of that player that you like. No clones. You get to keep your franchise every year till 2009.

2.) Your $200K guys can be from any year in the history of that franchise. Make sure it's the correct franchise(Per, http://baseball-reference.com/).

3.) You must use the stadium from your franchise/year.

4.) You get $100mil to make your team

5.) 60 game SLL min for playoffs.

6.) No DH.

7.) 6/2 Average AAA

8.) Trades allowed

* To 'twist' means to choose from any season of a particular player. For example say you select the Giants for 1996-98, you can choose any year of any of those players that you want.

* Each owner can select up to two franchises. They will be placed in seperate conferences. But you can select whichever 2 you want, regardless of which conference they are in as far as the current MLB is formatted.

* You must use actual franchise name.

I'll be taking the 2 teams with the worst records cumulatively in the AL & NL in this 3 years stretch. Reds & Orioles (Browns).
