Private League Specific Rules Topic

The world im in is looking to vote on some new league rules for next season. Aside from better anti tanking rules then .250 and setting your minor leagues, what other general gameplay rules are out there?

Trade veto/approval are world imploders. It shouldn't be necessary to say but the process needs to be consistent.

Buying/selling players is another hot button issue. Some worlds are fine with it, some are not.

Some worlds limit budget transfers.

Some worlds limit salaries/bonuses.

Restrictions on cash in trades, minimum payrolls, maximum IFA bonuses or prospect budgets. Lots more.

I've thought it'd be good to have a rule than all players out of options and on the 40-man that don't make the opening day roster must be waived to prevent player hoarding.

It's what the majors do, and would make giving out major league contracts to prospects much more realistic. For some reason the admins here think the users wouldn't be able to handle it.

Gleeman world has a 50/125 minimum wins rule. If you don't win 50 in a season AND 125 over two, you are out. This means if you win exactly 50 you need to have won at least 75 both the year before and the year after to stay in the league, for example.

I would think that the winning exactly 50 games part would be tough enough, without also having to win exactly 125 over two years.

Whoops, I edited to put in 'exactly' and dropped it in before the wrong 50. Fixed. Thanks.

Some worlds have rules about how often you can relocate your franchise (if at all).
