$5 credit extension due to season delay Topic

We got to play the exhibition games and then they said the SIM engine needed a tweak and moved the season start date back. Now they said the exhibition games have to be replayed too. I know when change happens, sometimes it doesnt go as smooth... But they issued a $5 site credit that expires on 5/31. They should extend the site credit atleast a week now too! After all, why would they want us to re-up without really being able to try the 'new' product. If everything ran on schedule, we would have been just starting conference play when the site credit was set to expire.

What kind of BS is this? Is expires in a week? I have multiple seasons remaining on my accounts, so a credit is given for our inconvenience, but only if we agree to re-up long term without seeing how the new engine plays out?

Thanks for nothing.

So, lets see, they give a couple thousand dollars worth if free credits out, and because it doesn't meet with some test that you have it is crap. They didn't have to give anything, instead they gave out something.

Didn't your Momma teach you if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything?

Do you work for WIS?

You have to admit that it's kind of disingenuous. It's a win/win for WiS. Either they entice people to pay money that they probably wouldn't have otherwise paid at that moment, or the credit doesn't get used. If they gave away a free season or something, that would be different.

Sure, but that's not really the point. Why don't they actually give us more than a few days to use it? If they actually wanted to extend some good will, I think they should at least let us test the product first, right? Especially when they know a lot of people have seasons anyway.

a week longer would be a smart and gracious move

Why? They didnt have to do anything. As was previously said, if you dont want to use it, then dont.

When was this $5.00 credit issued? Are you referring to the one that was given out a couple weeks ago or did WIS issue a new credit because of the delay with the update?

I, for one, am grateful for the $5. I'll be able to tell within a week if I like the product or not. But, I'm a lifer anyway! LOL

I didn't even notice that the $5 ticket expired on 5/31 until I read this. A little torn on the point -- I'm fine w. it having an expiration, but I do feel that 5/31 is a pretty tight timeline.

Well, you'll be able to tell whether you like the initial roll-out, which is pretty much guaranteed to change. This actually makes me think that WIS would actually be much smarter to extend this out another month or so to give people time to experienced the engine after at least the first round of corrections.

They gave away free stuff, and people ***** ... give me a break.
That doesn't really address the point. I assume the point of offering the credit is to show some good will? Well, that gets lost on me when I'm not, and presumably most people won't, use the credit because of its quick expiration date.

Again, this is simply a shrewd business move by WiS, not a nice gesture. Anything I buy at this point will make them money because I wasn't planning on buying anything in the next week. In fact, I'll bet if we polled, most people weren't planning on spending any money in the next week. So it makes them money, and it may or may not save me money in the long run.

I don't care that they did it - I'm not ******** at all. I'm simply not going to congratulate them on doing something "nice," because I don't think that's what they are doing. If they were, they would give us a season to use it.

I never would have noticed that it expires....thanks!
