Switching from press?! Topic

Anyone else think they should give up on the press.
It doesn't look like it will be a viable alternative any more. (I know all the arguments about the past) and I guess I could sacrifice a season or so to get IQs up in zone or man. Looking at a handful of pres games, IMO the changes have made it a strategic disadvantage to play press

As we learned in the past week, the press was just a glitch to start with.

I have given up on the full court press but am going with the man/half court press combo since most of my players have much better IQ's in the press. I only have one guy with the stamina needed to play the FCP now.

I'm investing 2 minutes into zone and running a combo. Bet I'm better off with this strategy than running a regular fcp now.

I run the press with my two D-1 squads and am changing immediately. Just as in real life, if something occurs that makes our base defense less effective we adjust.

Seriously? You mean 20, right?

Oh, and I'll be sticking with press for the moment.

The press is still viable. Just not with the craptastic players that waaay too many teams were running it with prior to the engine change.

He means two...and I will stick with the press also. With high prestige, I can recruit the best athletes to run the press. If you have the athletes up and down the lineup, the press should be a viable option.

No. My theory is that d- zone is better than b press.

69 FTA? Someone's taking the ****...wow...47 fouls...I wonder if its due to your rather poor def ratings

We're 7 points higher at def though.

I knew it was going to be a rebuilding year anyway...but that game seems way off to me.

Oh I agree completely...I just took over a press team with another ID because I heard of its magic, but it looks like that one is going to hell lol.
