I know it's not an exact science, but another owner is really after a pitcher of mine. The pitcher doesn't appear to be anything special . Timothy Riggs. His vsL/vsR is only 57/53 projected. But the fact that the one fella is so adamant about trading for him, it makes me wonder if he knows something I dont. He has 3 mil for advance scouting, I have 9 mil. Should I keep this guy thinking the other owner is trying to pull a fast one on me? Or, just trade him knowing Im ripping him off?

i'd hope that owner doesn't read the forums, and trade him.

He likes the pitches.

And, of course, it depends on what he offering in order to know if either of you is getting ripped off.

Yeah. Two excellent and three other above-average pitches compensate for mediocre splits.

depending on the return, and it wouldn't take a ton, but I'd certainly deal him. the guy could make a decent enough spot starter, mopup type guy, but his control and splits won't give you anything special. If you could flop him for a bonifid major leaguer or two, don't hesitate. He's an injury risk for sure, already hitting the 60 day DL in season 12, which probably explains his big jump in ratings from season 13 to the start of season 14, but he won't improve a ton past where he is right now.

Of course if the offer is of nothing useful, or a bench player at best, I'd rather have the extra pitcher that can occasionally spin a gem or give you innings out of a mop up role than a utility player that's going to be a dime a dozen.
