Check out the REB ratings and rebound totals (in relatively short minutes) for this guy vs Dominican. Granted it was a single game, but it still got a "wow" out of me.

Well, he was the backup, and looking at the other guy's backup guard that woudl have been playing opposite. .he had a ONE rebounding.

Yeah, and this guy had a two. Not that I think it's a big deal at all for one game, but come on.

Might be a factor of total missed shots. What are we seeing in that area?

I had this happen in the old engine as well...a shooting guard with a Reb rating of 6 pulled in 12 boards in one game late in the non-conf schedule...he'd had 16 total up to that point in the season, counting his two exhibition games, and never got more than four in a game after that.

Mentally, I rationalized it as he was faster/more athletic than his counterpart and he was winning balls via hustle rather than rebounding technique. *shrugs*

I'd just chalk it up as a quirky game unless it starts popping up with regularity.

Eddie house has had a ten rebound game.

This seems to me to be just a one-off situation that we would've seen in the old engine as well. If I'm wrong and someone has noticed a real trend of guards with very low reb ratings collecting a bunch of rebounds, let me know, but I haven't seen anything like that.

Lots of long rebounds if people shoot a lot of 3's. There were 51 3pt attempts between both teams. Lots of outside the paint REB in a game like that.

Hughes, I don't know if it's different in this engine, but that was not the case in the old engine. It did not differentiate between long rebounds on outside shots, etc.
