Waiver Claims Forced to go to BL Topic

Im sure this is simple but I cant quite figure it out. Some waiver claims I make are required to go to the big leagues. Some are not..

Why is this?

Gotcha, thats what I was thinking...So if they have 0 options, and are claimed they have to go to BL regardless. Thanks

If you want to send him to the minors, you can just designate with waivers and see if he clears ... then you can send him to the minors

I've gone back and forth with a team before that was trying to get a AAAA caliber guy into the minors ... he'd designate, I'd claim ... I'd designate, he'd claim right back ... reapeat until one of you gets bored
